MEETING WITH ABRAHAM -- TRUST AND SUSPICION
JULY 10, 2000
WOODS CROSS GROUP

I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. How I enjoy your conversation and logical
conclusions and good humor. I feel such a serenity in heart and mind when we
can visit. I have appreciated your trust in me as your friend, brother and
co-worker. Your trust and faith in me aids me in my experience as a citizen
in our Father's universe. You have allowed me to learn to become a better
teacher by allowing me to stumble through this experience. Your patience has
been beneficial for all of us.

As we relate with one another we are allowing experiences to occur that
teach us how to become more than we are. We are learning to put away
childish things. We are beginning to see that the universe is with us, and
not out to taunt us into becoming a responsible cosmic citizen. This week we
will discuss trust and suspicion.

What child has touched a hot stove and not learned from it? Does he learn
not to touch it again? Hopefully so. This is logical, experiential thinking.
The child who has been consistently disappointed by people he knows, and who
he is supposed to trust, learns to be more cautious when taking people at
face value. The child is learning caution and still within the realm
logical, experiential thinking.

As this child grows he either learns to use that balanced, logical mind or
he becomes mistrustful and suspicious. To move about in the world
mistrustful and suspicious creates such barriers in spiritual learning.
After one has been so disappointed by human associates, finds it quite
logical to perceive Father as one who cannot be trusted. In that untrusting
mind we are more likely to avoid our human associates and also our Heavenly
Caretakers.

It is well and good to be independent, but the Brotherhood exists for a
reason--people need people. I have learned to become a better teacher and
person because of my students--people need God. I have become a more loving,
honorable, responsible individual because of God. Our ties are helping us to
become who we are supposed to be.

In a suspicious mind we cannot make a soulful connection with others. If we
fear emotional pain and disappointment we would think ourselves better off
to avoid experience with one another. The experience is what is valuable and
helping you to become. An open, unjudgmental heart concerning your fellows
creates circuits between you. Therein are your feelings of belonging in the
universe--feeling at home wherever you are.

I do not say blindly trust, no, but to stay within the realm of logical,
experiential thinking. If you have been continually hurt by someone, and
have just cause to mistrust, then Father does not expect you to keep this
contact with them. The facts speak for themselves. You are an intelligent
child of God, who knows when you are receiving valuable experience, and when
you are receiving redundant abuse.

Allow us this week to lay down the childish behavior of mistrust and
suspicion. Allow us to create those soul circuits between our fellows and
our Heavenly Caretakers. Let us contemplate our trust in our almighty,
unmatched in love and power, internal Father. Is He like your human
associates and deserving of your mistrust and suspicion? How far do we dare
to fall without worrying that Father's arms will not be there to catch us? A
few questions.

HARRISON: Abraham, I want to thank you, especially for myself and everyone
else too I'm sure, for the wonderful job you are doing, the opportunity to
have you be our teacher and the marvelous lessons you provide us each week.
They are just great! My question is--I have a daughter. Her name is Cindy
LaRose. Is it possible that I could have her spiritual name?

ABRAHAM: I am thanking you also for you support in this group, and your
faith and love that aids me in my abilities to teach. I thank you, my son. I
am aware that her name is Ronna, R-o-n-n-a. (Thank you.) You're welcome.
Another question?

INERIA: Abraham, I'd like to introduce my big sister, Kathy, who never
thought I would never travel a straight path.

ABRAHAM: Greetings, sister Kathy. Have you a question? (No. Thank you.)
Another question?

ELLEN: I would like to know more about the universal broadcasts--if that is
strictly a spiritual thought to thought communication or does that involve
material communication from other planets? There has been some things said
on the Internet. I am just curious.

ABRAHAM: One moment. I can say for right now that these broadcasts will come
as knowledge from origins unknown. Several individuals will receive these
thoughts at the same time. It will seem completely natural at the time of
reception, but after time you can find evidence that you were not the only
one to receive. Our broadcasts will be subtle at first so as to not shock
anyone. As the planet is further into Light and Life the thoughts will be
more audio. We cannot rush evolution, although we are terribly excited for
it. As for world to world communications, that is a subject for the future
meetings ahead. Thank you. Good question. Is this answering? (Yes. Thanks.)
You're welcome. Another question.

SIMON: Abraham, I am very grateful and sometimes overwhelmed with the beauty
of the lessons. I don't have a particular question--how might I look to
serving in the future?

ABRAHAM: My son, why look to the future? You are serving now. With your
co-workers, your children, your friends, you do a great service just by
living what you truly believe. The care you show people you have for them
says a great deal for the Kingdom. Temper your zeal with the realness of
spirituality and your service will carry much more integrity. We are
overjoyed to have you in this Mission. You do well, Simon. One more
question.

SARAUNA: Abraham, thank you so much. This lesson has, I think you know, been
an answer to questions I have had and not been able to fully bring out. I
just want to thank you for a great lesson (inaudible).

ABRAHAM: You are very welcome, Sarauna. I appreciate your wisdom that you
add to this group. You help to bring balance with your logic and humor. I al
so thank you and I do appreciate your kind words.

I appreciate each one of you for your diversity and your dedication to serve
and be served. You have dared to step beyond what you think you know to a
broadened horizon of new possibilities. As always my love is with you. Until
next week, shalom.
