ABRAHAM & MARY

DECEMBER 12, 2005

WOODS CROSS GROUP

I am ABRAHAM. I am enjoying the clarity of this evening. You are touching upon worship and gratitude, while discussing the everyday realities of life. This is advancement. Many individuals continuously question their purpose for living and what is the key to true happiness. As the soul matures we find Father's technique of imparting to us the definitions of meanings and values to be quite inspiring and joy-filled.

I am MARY. Greetings friends, I do find each new day overflowing with possibilities. I do remember a time however that my existence seemed to be one of unending drudgery. I always hoped for a new and better way of life, but never really believed it would come to pass.

I was always inspired by the Master and His associates, especially Peter. While he seemed so willing to do any and all things for the cause, he had not much thought about how foolish he may look. Certainly he was chastised from time to time by the Master, but still he reasoned within himself that the discipline was about becoming better, not about being ashamed. The Master found Peter to be with great humor and a personality that could rebound from most situations. Peter did enjoy those mission tasks that would put him in the limelight and at the same time he struggled within himself to remember what was most important and at that time it was the Master's ministry and the growth of the Kingdom.

While Peter was somewhat flighty and even a risk taker, I found the contrasting personality of Andrew to be grounding and filled with strength. Andrew was the embodiment of common sense and responsibility. He helped Peter to be balanced in his mission tasks, as well as Peter helped Andrew to lighten up and enjoy life. When we ponder the diversity of the apostles, we can see how each one was gifted in a particular area. Each one brought balance to the mission. I believe that their greatest lesson was the effort made to work with each other. The Master well knew of the various conflicts and yet, He kept silent so the men could work through their experience and gain the value therefrom.

In today's world it seems that there is more competition than there is teamwork. It is difficult to unify in what seems to be a dog-eat-dog world. I see that as part of your mission tasks--that you are unifiers among the differing personalities. You are each gifted at finding a common thread from which to build upon. As we realize how massive our Kingdom is, we can see each person as brother or sister. We all know that family members love one another, come what may and those that you truly love, you are more likely to protect. Protecting meaning being honest, advising for their own good, not yours and being an inspiration and a source of encouragement.

Again this week we are focusing on the theme of the Brotherhood, Sisterhood, what have you. We are all children of a glorious Father. We all have a place within the universal scheme. This week, if there is time, read about the relationship among the apostles. There was good and bad. There was supposed to be. Can you think of a person living today who is particularly inspirational in their example of how to treat others and be a genuine brother or sister in the Kingdom? That is all for this evening. Know that I am also available to you throughout the week should you have need of me. From Abraham and myself, I send you with love and farewell until next time.
