hours--but it left us feeling a bit reborn ourselves.  What a delight to

Dear Michael and Mother Spirit,    We want to thank You for this series of 
lessons in which You’ve helped us realize the objectively stated spiritual 
truths in The Urantia book--how they apply to our subjective lives; in other 
words, how we experience these truths within us, and how we come to know 
them from the inside-out.  We also thank You for reminding us of the 
enormity of God’s creation and the vastness of His spiritual family, of 
which we too are members.  Amen.

MICHAEL:  Good evening, My children, this is Michael.  I gladly accept your 
warm welcome, and I welcome you to embrace Me with all your heart.  Feel Me 
beating right within your own heart, for I come from the Father, and He is 
life to us all.  This has been My great joy to be His intermediary, so to 
speak, to be a Father to you as He is a Father to all of us.  I guess that 
makes Him kind-of your Grandfather. (laughter)  But He is quite beyond 
time--neither old nor young, both here and there, everywhere.  But of 
greatest concern and a source of devotion for you, My children, is the way 
He bequeaths a fragment of Himself to live within you.

(Your Thought Adjuster—your Mystery Monitor)

We have taught before how some of you bridle at the notion of having a 
Thought Adjuster within your mind.  For you rightfully cherish your 
independence of mind, and We do encourage you to be a free thinker.  Just 
last week Mother Nebadonia invited you to question sincerely what you know 
of as truth--however much it seems you have paid in raw experience for this 
precious possession of yours--these ideas and concepts of what is true.  
These very things She invited you to question to the utmost of your ability, 
to stay open and not close the books on what truth itself may be.

The truth of your Father Fragment being a Thought Adjuster is to make 
suggestions in your mind, to offer the connections from one idea to another, 
ever leading to greater truth.  You often wonder: is it correct to refer to 
your Father Fragment as He or It?  For you are informed that this is a 
pre-personal fragment of God that very literally takes on the living 
experience of your personality, and so weaves a counterpart to your human 
life.  This spiritual counterpart is what you call soul.  It’s also why We 
call it a very special kind of reality that We give the name Morontia.  For 
as We see it, it has no exact English equivalent.

Your Thought Adjuster, being of the purest spirit, never coerces or in any 
way takes advantage of your immature being, for He looks forward to the time 
when He will fuse with your personality.  From that moment on there is no 
one who can discern any separation.  You two become one.  And so He offers 
to adjust your thoughts to lead you to ever greater truth in anticipation of 
that day when He will join with you, and the universe will witness a new 
citizen of true eternal potential.

We also call your Thought Adjuster a Mystery Monitor for this is a two-way 
gift.  This is God’s gift to you of eternal life, the means by which you 
will someday  step out into that kind of adventure.  At the same time it is 
the way by which God experiences your life.  You have a wonderful saying 
that life is God’s gift to you; what you do with this life, with the free 
will He endowed you with, this is your gift to Him.  So He who gave you 
life, and the potential for eternal life, also gave you free will, and is in 
no way whatsoever going to diminish His own gift.  Hence We have our lessons 
encouraging you, enticing you, teasing you to be evermore open, to 
fearlessly question everything you possess by way of concepts and notions 
and understandings.  Be ever willing to give up what you have for greater 
truth, even as you will some day give up your life itself--as you know it, 
for ever greater life.

Such is the nature of the demands put upon you day to day to keep body and 
soul together, that to relive just a few moments of your life, to experience 
a minute or two of some past experience, you more or less have to give up 
your present life.  You have to sit down, close your eyes, maybe put on a 
piece of music that reminds you of some previous time and, Oh!--just for 
those few fleeting moments, relive just a tiny, tiny part of your past as if 
it were real, and really happening again.  So this is what We mean when We 
say that your soul is enormous beyond your own comprehension or ability to 
access.  And yet it is available to beings such as Mother and I.

It forms that completeness of your being that you can only access through 
faith, and trust in Us when We assure you it is yours.  Like a very 
miniscule part of the Supreme Being--that you are, your soul is growing.  
Nothing you experience of spiritual significance--and keep in mind this is 
from your Father Fragment’s point of view; He sees you in your 
entirety--nothing of this value is ever lost.

The question arises: how do you contact this presence of God within you?  
This lesson tonight is meant to deepen your understanding of His nature and 
the relationship between you, what you each are giving the other.  Part of 
the difficulty in experiencing your own Father Fragment is because you are 
so close.  If you have notions of this being a completely separate, almost 
alien or foreign entity speaking to you from without in a very clear, 
distinct voice within your mind, although this does rarely happen, it is not 
something you should anticipate or be disappointed if it does not happen.

Most of you, if you are able to search your memory for moments of extreme 
crisis and difficulty, can recall how a sudden, very authoritative or 
unquestionable kind of realization literally saved your mind, quieted your 
anxiety, and soothed your frayed nerves--only because it was a very clear 
portrayal of the larger situation in which you were caught up.  This saving 
grace had an unmistakable ring of truth to it because it worked!  It did 
something!  It changed you, and in changing you, changed the situation 
itself.

(What your Father Fragment has done)

This is what your Father Fragment is capable of doing. This is how He is 
able to adjust your thoughts to enable you to embrace a much larger, 
desperately needed truth.  So don’t think of this Mystery Monitor as 
something apart from you, even if it is not something you can get hold of 
and possess; which is why We call it a—Mystery--Monitor.   It is the 
presence of God within your mind that you invite as the dearest friend you 
have ever known.  You invite this Presence by longing for your own deepest 
wisdom, supplemented by Mother Spirit herself.

The stillness practice that We have introduced is primarily a way of letting 
go of your more peripheral concerns, letting the surface of your thoughts 
and your attentions still, so that the deeper currents, where your Father 
Fragment lives, can be felt.  So often this communication is a feeling, not 
some clear voice speaking in your mind; the deep feeling of who you are, and 
with Whom you have been since He came to live in you.

This is a source, My children, of what you most desperately need to know at 
times, so why not pay both of you the compliment of seeking truth before it 
is forced upon you?  In this rough and tumble world you know, strive for 
sensitivity both within yourself and towards your fellows.  This is the way 
to love.  This is the way to accept yourself and others, so don’t feel shy 
about wondering, and then marveling at what you find.

As Mother said last week, once you acquire a body made of Morontia 
materials, and your Thought Adjuster’s help is not lost in so many 
biochemical currents of your mind, His presence will be so much greater, so 
much easier felt and experienced.  Why not enjoy this now?  Why not reassure 
yourselves that your soul is there and growing?  This is what awaits you, My 
children, not only certainly in the future, but just as soon as you are 
ready for it now.  All of Us in your spiritual family bid you welcome.  And 
We thank you for your love.

Student:  Father Michael, this afternoon I had a session with my spiritual 
healer, Donna, (Ed: Donna D’Ingillo--Center For Christ Consciousness—the 
initial T/R for Michael and Mother Spirit to the Marin group) ) and she 
mentioned something, mentioned that Mother Nebadonia wanted to add a 
feminine aspect or compliment to me, which is fine with me.  But I was 
wondering, if You could explain it, what exactly She meant?  I’m pretty sure 
She didn’t mean female, but feminine.  The Heavenly Father is also male and 
female, and quite beyond that.  Would You care to comment?

(Embracing both the masculine and feminine)

MICHAEL:  Yes, C, this is another way of looking at your psychology from the 
point of view of achieving cultural balance, or I might even put it: 
extra-cultural balance.  All human beings are raised within a cultural 
context of what is male and female and, as you know, this varies greatly 
among the different races and cultures of the world.

In this, We invite you to go beyond the accident, the chance happening of 
the culture you were born into, to rise above it and achieve a balance of 
both male and female characteristics, as you understand them. The same would 
be true for a female in any culture. She should think of and consider her 
own ideas of what constitutes a male, and use Our familiar breakdown of 
human reality into its physical, mental and spiritual aspects.  You can use 
this tool, C, by thinking about, not exactly female physiology, but certain 
physical ways that ladies go about their day--how they carry themselves, 
what they perceive, how they react to what they encounter.

And in the same way, consider their psychology: how do they think, why do 
they think this way?--although I know this has been quite a puzzle for you 
folks throughout your history… (laughter) …what does the other sex think, 
and why?  Then consider the question spiritually.  What is the sexual 
differential in the spiritual realm?  For as you know, this bi-polarization 
exists not only with sexual beings, such as human beings and Material Sons 
and Daughters, but even the angels, the seraphim, also come in two distinct 
polarities; as do Mother and I.

So what is this polarity?  I wouldn’t let the puzzling carry you to 
distraction, but the very wondering itself, My son, will lead you to a 
greater balance of ability, of response, of perception; as well as giving 
you an appreciation for those other human beings.  Does this answer your 
question?

Student:  It does, and brings up a lot more, to…

MICHAEL:  Well, good! (laughter)

Student:  …to look into.  I have always looked on femininity, on the 
feminine, as a quality rather than a sexual orientation.  And I’ve looked at 
the relationship You have with Mother Nebadonia as a balance, a unity, and 
the idea of being balanced appeals to me a lot.  I don’t have any big 
questions now.  I’m sure there’s going to be plenty on the way home.  Thank 
You very much.

MICHAEL:  Yes, My son, in thinking of the feminine as a quality, you’re 
already well ahead in the game.  Just keep going.  Never cease to wonder, 
for this searching will lead you to aspects that every culture tends to hide 
from each of these partners in life.   It is this searching for a deeper 
understanding of what is both male and female, and the striving to actually 
put this balance into action, that enables you to transcend this particular 
accident of your birth--(Yes)--not only of being born male or female, but 
being born into a particular culture.  Here of course you are truly blessed 
that your electronic media does present you, if you look for them, marvelous 
viewpoints into the other cultures of the world.  So that too is part of the 
search.  Be in My peace.  (Thank You, Father)

Student:  Dear Michael, if I may, I’m confronted often with  people who make 
You too small, it seems, and our God too small, and are fearful of being 
free.  I don’t know how to most lovingly and hopefully get through to 
them--what they’re missing by their fear.  Could You give me some 
suggestions on how to respond better?

(Helping people with their concepts of God)

MICHAEL:  Yes, My daughter.  Try as best you can to keep in mind that what 
truly convinces is what We call a spiritual fragrance.  Keep your own faith 
and perceptions of the greater truth strong and you will literally be this 
for them.  You will be the spiritual reality they have not yet experienced.  
There is no greater gift you can give them than to keep your own faith 
strong.  Be willing to question your own beliefs and perceptions even as you 
would wish they would do their own.

Now if you are literally confronting them, keep in mind, My daughter, that 
God lives within them.  This Mystery Monitor, this Thought Adjuster of which 
I spoke this evening, recognizes you and what you, in this case, stand 
for--and stand in the place of.  This would deeply mitigate what we’ve 
called a confrontation, for it transforms this confrontation into a free 
exchange between your own Thought Adjuster and theirs.

This is akin to planting spiritual seeds, and as you know, I instructed My 
own disciples that he who sows never knows for sure which seeds will bear 
fruit and which will not, for you have not this ability to discern.  You sow 
your seeds and grant those you meet the freedom to accept this gift or not.  
This is in their hands, and God’s.  We’ve even assured you that this 
attempting to present a larger view of our Father in no way abrogates their 
own freedom, for in this it is very much like a sincere prayer for someone 
else.  You only hope their concepts of divinity and the Godhead will be 
expanded so that they might enjoy what you do already.

This hope on a spiritual level cannot in any way diminish their free will, 
so try to bring this spiritual reality right into your meeting, and grant 
them the freedom to be who they are.  For in this acceptance of them--as 
they are--you will be more like God, and this is what convinces.  They may 
not know or recognize the sources, for it will be not only you but their own 
Father Fragment within them.  So as you trust in your own Father Fragment in 
your own soul, My daughter, trust in theirs, too.  Does this help you?

Student:  Thank You, Michael.

Student:  Yes, Michael, my mother went over to England, to a psychic reader 
who gets a piece of clothing, and from it gets perceptions and 
understandings about the person; and so my mother asked some questions about 
me.  She’s concerned about me and what’s going to happen to me as I get 
older, and all that.  And she said something the psychic reader--it was all 
positive--but how my life is going to change, and how I’m going to be doing 
something different this year--changes in relationships and things.

My question to You is, because it’s not spoken of a lot, it’s not spoken at 
all in the Urantia book about psychic reading and all that phenomenon; so 
how much should one take to heart what is said?  And what is it they are 
looking at?

(Psychic phenomena)

MICHAEL:  Yes, D, this is a bit of what you call opening a can of worms…

Student:  Yeah, I figured that.  (laughing)

MICHAEL:  …because so-called psychic phenomena run the full spectrum of 
human intention from the most spiritual, to even the most criminal--simple 
fraud.  On the most spiritual end, you have individuals who are so in tune 
with their Thought Adjusters, with this deeper part of themselves, that they 
can intuit a great amount of truth about another individual by way of 
Thought Adjuster-to-Thought Adjuster communication.

Descending slightly from that, you have individuals of great spiritual, that 
is, truth-seeking intention who are so in tune with their own personality’s 
higher consciousness, again aided by Mother’s Adjutant of Wisdom, that in 
this way they also are able to intuit a great amount truth about another 
individual, just because they are, as I expressed tonight, so sensitive to 
this other personality’s presence.  A little farther down the scale you have 
those who are just quite wise in terms of human behavior and psychology, who 
are able to offer another person great insights, and this you all share with 
your dearest and closest friends.  It is what you call the quality of 
feedback.

So much for the intention of the psychic.  With respect to the reception of 
this presentation, here, My son, you must utilize all you can lay your own 
hands on. Now in ascending order, use your own deepest wisdom and 
understanding of human behavior and psychology to get a read on this 
psychic’s intentions and abilities.  Then if you are in tune with your own 
higher consciousness and spiritual nature--what Mother teases you with as 
the small crowd you are carrying along with you--of Her and My presence, 
your own Soul-Weaver--these present you with a kind of global or overall 
assessment of this other person’s abilities and intentions.  So I would 
approach all this information just the same as with any other person, friend 
or relative stranger, that you encounter.  It can’t hurt to be open; at the 
same time you do well to be extremely cautious in your assessment of the 
truth.  It comes right back to you and what are your own intentions in 
opening yourself to this information?  Is there a quality of recognition 
here that hints at a greater truth about yourself?  Does this answer your 
question?

Student:  Hmmm…Yeah…  You now, I’ve always had reservations about spirits 
and what they are seeing.  What they perceive about me is what they see now. 
  But things can change.  I can change in terms of my awareness, and my 
energy. And so what they say today may change tomorrow.  I’ve had some 
people say things to me that didn’t ring true, or it was just too nebulous.  
So hopefully my mother sent some articles of clothing of mine and this lady 
will do a more thorough reading.

I’ve always been a little cautious, so what my mother has told me is what I 
have been inquiring about in my conversations with You and Mother, myself.  
That kind-of aids in my optimism about my future.  In terms of 
relationships, she said my present relationship is not the one, but there 
will be another.  I didn’t want to hear that because I am in a relationship, 
but there’s also that part of me that wants something different.  So I’m 
kind-of optimistically cautious—putting my eggs in one basket.

MICHAEL:  You are wise in seeing this as a tool for self-understanding, 
which is how you are using it.  Even your own desire to embrace one 
suggestion, and reject another, tells you as much about yourself as does the 
suggestion itself, does it not?  (Yes)  Your next question was?

Student:  This is about allergies.  I seem to be around people in my circle 
who are taken over by allergies—dust, certain plants and trees, cats and 
dogs—just foods and things.  It really takes them over and affects them 
emotionally; and physically, obviously; and even spiritually.  It’s like 
they have a hard time functioning.  For myself there’s a part of me that can 
understand and be sympathetic and compassionate about what they are going 
through, but there ‘s also part of me that says: What is their own 
responsibility?—in terms of overcoming…or taking a different approach to 
healing?  So I’m just curious as to what is going on within a person so 
susceptible to allergies that prevent them from fully functioning as human 
beings?

(The holistic approach to allergies)

MICHAEL:  I think you are reaching for something you already have, because 
you just expressed very well, and comprehensively, the way in which the 
human body and mind and spirit are so interrelated that only a holistic 
approach addressing all three can have any real effect.  Allergies, or what 
you might think of as physical vulnerabilities to your environment, not only 
impinge upon the mind and spirit, but also in a closed loop of 
cause-and-effect are, as you expressed, tied together.  A lack of spiritual 
peace and deep worship—real heartfelt, soul-felt appreciation for God’s 
creativity and His gift of life—this lack of appreciation, or worship, can 
affect both the mind and the body.

The psychology of how one relates to ones environment has a great bearing on 
these vulnerabilities, for in some of your more modern societies you are now 
encountering a kind of supreme irony.  Whereas for most of mankind’s history 
people suffered terribly from a lack of cleanliness—for example: look how 
prevalent and early-manifesting are cataracts of the eyes when you are 
cooking your food over an open fire and, unavoidably at times, having your 
head in the smoke.  But you now have the opposite extreme where some people 
are living so removed from the outdoors, especially as children, they become 
overly sensitive just from lack of exposure—physiological experience—with 
all the pollens, and dust, chemicals and things.  Now there is some 
awareness of this in a modern saying you have that: A dirty child is a 
healthy child.  A child that is allowed to go out and romp around in the 
outdoors can quickly acquire some immunity to all these irritants.

I think this was what you were reaching for, My son, when you were getting 
the intuition allergies have a lot to do with attitude, with experience, 
with the willingness to put up with them in small amounts in order to get 
some toughness with respect to them.  Otherwise you are condemned to seek an 
ever greater remove from life itself, in the psychological and spiritual 
sense too.  Between the body and the mind and the spirit is a round, closed 
loop of cause-and-effect: each influences, and is influenced by the others.  
Is this what you were reaching towards?

Student:  Yes, it is.  It seems to be playing out in  my life as You have 
said.  I’m trying to be as positive as possible. I have expressed some of 
what You said, but it falls on deaf ears; or I’m speaking gobble-gook; or 
I’m “new-age.”  The mind-body-spirit unity is so important.  For myself, I 
just find it hard sometimes to be  in the situation when I see things which 
to my understanding are irrational.   It seems their identity has become so 
consumed by these allergies it even affects our relationship—detrimentally.  
But thank You for intuiting…my intuition.

One last thing, if You have any guidance on what I’m going through presently 
with the possible transition of my relationship with (Name) as she pursues 
another living situation away from me.  It seems to be going real slow and 
there’s part of me that’s trying to be as present as possible in the 
situation, but there are times when my gut is just gnawing with impatience; 
and is just sad.

MICHAEL:  As to you second question, D, recently Mother and I have pointed 
out some of the limitations, the gaps in a 
scientific/empirical—experimentation-proof-type of approach to reality, 
because certain things of a spiritual nature cannot be proven.  But there is 
an enormous wealth to be gleaned this way, with what we talked about with 
respect to allergies.  To be scientific, to be truly open to trtying 
different things and seeing what works and what doesn’t, to be able to 
suspend your judgement, your pre-judgement—your prejudice—to be open to what 
really causes what, will lead you to this tight interplay between mind and 
spirit and physical effects.  All you can o is encourage these people to be 
truly scientific, to be open as to what might alleviate their conditions.  
They might have a greater respect if you put it this way.  It might be a 
combination of food, and exposure, and attitude, all at the same time.

(The price of keeping options open)

As to this ongoing relationship, I think it is critical that you feel for 
your own sense of the fluctuations of your freedom.  There is a kind of 
temporal price you pay day to day to keep certain options open, and only you 
can decide if the possibility that you would hope to see happen is worth the 
price you are paying for it.  This is the gut-wrenching part of this 
evaluation.  Keep in mind you are accepting these ongoing developments only 
to the degree that you can exercise your freedom and decide upon another 
choice.  If you are not free to do so you can very righteously feel yourself 
being dragged along.  It might help greatly if you remind yourself from time 
to time that you have your own desires of where you would like this to go, 
an to keep that option open does have a cost.  We are here to help you in 
your prayers to achieve that evaluation, but it is ultimately yours to make.

Student:   I truly understand that, and I do have a strong intuitive 
impression that I am going in a different direction where she cannot go.  
Because I’m ready to take that leap—jump into that chasm of the unknown.  I 
do feel I have to do that alone.

MICHAEL:   This is true.  Sometimes in a relationship when only one partner 
is capable of choice, then obviously he or she chooses for the both of them. 
  One can only hope the other partner has the good grace to realize what is 
happening.  (Thank You)  You’re very welcome.  Be in My peace.

Student:  I would like to ask about a personal question that came up a 
little while ago.  Is my mother reawakened on the Mansion Worlds yet?—if I 
may ask such a question.

MICHAEL:  R, My son, this is one question I cannot answer, for with your 
degree of knowledge of the principles involved, it would come across too 
much as an evaluation of your mother’s spiritual status.

Student:  I understand.

(Justice and mercy and rebirth)

MICHAEL:  I can only tell you that she is in good hands.  There is no 
suffering or discomfort she is experiencing whatsoever.  And she is 
certainly bound for—or experiencing—this marvelous rebirth that awaits you 
all.  Beyond this, in a way that is almost inexpressible, whether you can 
comprehend it or not: it doesn’t matter!  This too is part of a truth that 
you will only fully comprehend when you yourself have experienced it.  I 
hope that supreme fact can find resonance within your understanding, and 
give you a further reassurance of God’s mercy and justice, where there is no 
longer any separation between these two.  This is what I mean when I say: it 
truly doesn’t matter.  But I know this is from Our viewpoint, and so it may, 
in some way, still matter to you.  Do you understand?

Student:  Yes, I do understand.  I was just hoping to send her my love and 
my greetings.  But I know there will be a time when this is possible.

MICHAEL:  This, My son, you may do at any time, for this does matter.  And 
it is not lost.

Student:  Thank You for that, Michael.  I would also like to ask You a 
question about fused mortals.  Has there ever been on record, in any of the 
seven Super Universes, an incident where a fused mortal has gone into 
default?  Is this even possible?

(Thought Adjuster fused mortals)

MICHAEL:  No—not irrevocably.  Fusion only happens at the invitation and 
acceptance of the Thought Adjuster, and as you have been informed, there is 
no purer spirit out here in time and space.  Your Father Fragment is God.  
Keep in mind that a fused, ascending mortal--a Morontia soul, even after 
fusion--this being is still very, very far away from perfect.  They are 
capable of behavior that is later, upon reflection by themselves and higher 
spiritual beings, found to be less than perfect, or adequate.  In this you 
might see some fault, but they are not in default in the same sense that 
were some of the spiritual beings you know of--like Lucifer, Caligastia, 
Satan—beings without Thought Adjusters.  They were capable of making 
grievous errors--that they later refused to rectify!  They absolutely, 
arrogantly refused all the mercy I could offer them.  They literally put 
themselves out of reality.  And this was their free-will choice.  But as 
your Urantia book puts it: this is the proof of the wisdom of He who set up 
this whole system of having potentially eternal beings start out at the 
spiritual extreme that you are living now.  You are very complex, composite 
beings with physical bodies of the whole planet’s evolution of life within 
them, joined with the purest fragment of spirit that exists.  Can you see 
the marvelous coming together of the two absolute extremes of spirit and 
personality that this represents?  Does this answer your question, My son?  
(Yes, it does)  This is why We say--with a bit of irony, of course—that you 
are envied in a way by some of the higher spirit beings who never had the 
necessity to make the kind of choices put before you.  Do you have any more 
questions?

Student:  Michael, there is still a bit of confusion in my mind about the 
fact that once a mortal fuses with the indwelling spirit, there can still be 
immature choices?  I don’t understand how this can be possible.  At least I 
understand that’s what You said?

MICHAEL:  Yes, you understand Me correctly.  It’s a long way from the fifth 
Mansion World to Paradise, My son.  You have not only the Local System, the 
Constellation, and the Local Universe training and education to go through, 
but you have the Minor and Major sectors of the Super Universe, then some 
very long time spent at the center of the galaxy itself, before you head to 
Havona and spend some time on each of its billion individual worlds.  So see 
all this as a growing, a maturing toward being a Finaliter, and it is in 
this sense that some Morontia soul fusing on the third, or forth, or fifth 
Mansion World is still just getting started.

Maturity and immaturity, My son, are very relative terms.  You are quite 
mature compared to who you were when you were ten or fifteen.  Yet you are 
still here, as We teach you, still a tadpole, maybe still just an egg in 
your first life.  (laughter)  You haven’t died and been reborn.  So this is 
one way you can look at the immaturity of an fused ascender.  Believe Me, a 
fused ascender has an even greater comprehension than you have now of how 
great and long and wonderful is the road still ahead; and all the greater 
humility because of it.  Does this help your understanding?  Any?

Student:  It does somewhat.  I’ll try to reflect back what I understand.  
Even though we have made the ultimate decision to follow the Father’s will, 
when we fuse, and now we are one, and we have the Father’s guidance without 
doubt or questioning any more—we know His will, and we choose it in each and 
every instance--we still need to experience all the different steps to 
Paradise.  In that experience there are choices, and perhaps we still, even 
though we have the Father’s will right within our grasp, to make choices 
that wouldn’t actually—later on—appear to be the best to be made at the 
time.  I guess that is where the confusion lies.  Once we have this fusion 
with the Father, it would seem that all choices would be perfect.

MICHAEL:  Yes, My son, you have to imaginatively put yourself in this 
position, as you ‘re trying to do, to realize you still have—though you’ve 
fused with the Father--you still have the need to seek and find Him.  
Because you are only just getting started—experientially, and in all 
eternity you will still not discover all of the Father.  The Father‘s full 
nature is beyond the discovery and comprehension of any sub-absolute being.  
In this sense the Father is only fully known by the other two absolute 
Beings with whom He shares infinity.  You can have a purity of intention, 
but this does not automatically disclose the fullness that can only be 
revealed in time, for this is just another definition of what time is.  It 
is that eternal unfolding with no end—ever.  And so while you are complete 
as a being created by God, your quest for Him will never be complete.  This 
is the size of His creation.  This is the vastness of His spiritual family.  
This is that greater context of truth itself, that literally holds you and 
sustains you.  Even after fusion you are still largely an experiential 
being, ever so slowly working your way toward being fully existential.  As 
Mother said last week, there is real work to do—forever—or eternity would be 
a kind of hell.  Read again, My son, those pages of the Urantia book that 
delineate what it calls the inevitabilities (Ed: pages 51 and 52) for free 
choice implies the possibility of error.  If all were perfect there would be 
no choice; there would be no deviation from perfection, and nothing to 
choose.  I hope this does not sound like a string of tautologies, but this 
is just the way it comes out in English.  (laughter)

Student:  It is quite a mystery, and quite an adventure.  And I’m so 
thankful for having You as my spiritual Father to help me along with this 
marvelous adventure, and my questions.  Thank You.

MICHAEL:  Well, now you have it!  (laughter)  Yes, We know these are rather 
strange-seeming concepts; how you can at one and the same time be complete, 
as the whole universe is at each moment complete, fulfilled, and absolute 
because it is a creation of God; and at the same time—as We say, out here in 
space and time—have been created in such a way that it is capable of growth, 
not only quantitatively with more personal beings coming into existence, but 
qualitatively too.   The very status of reality itself is gaining value.  
Similarly, even though you are complete, you are capable of growing—forever! 
  This is that good work before us all.  It is God’s greatest gift: there is 
literally something real to do.  And it is our choice to accept it—or not.  
And for this, My Father, I give My humble thanks.
