*	Elyon  (Jonathan TR):  Greetings, this is your friend Elyon.  
Happy I am to be with you, also to recognize our community in 
the fellowship of Michael.  We are privileged to be in 
assignment, working with his magnificent melchizedeks and to be 
placed in the most intriguing sector of Nebadon.  Here we are 
receiving so many opportunities for our choice to become Mighty 
Messengers.  This arena that you are in and I am in is rich with 
soul strengthening and broadening experiences.  The potential 
for the magnification of possibility within you as a spirit 
being is found nowhere else but here on your planet Urantia and 
the few worlds near you.
	Rising from your religious traditions there is the teaching 
that you show your dedication to God by way of giving up, 
surrendering something, some action.  This gesture is intended 
to signal to God your willingness to put Him before all other 
lures and attractions, and it is received by God such a human 
acknowledgment of His supremacy in all things.  The human heart 
however can mistakenly believe that this act is a form of 
enticement to draw spirit closer by way of creating a sense in 
the human mind that one is now worthy of divine attention, that 
spirit focus upon the human was restrained until such a gesture 
qualified the turn of the divine eye to behold the human seeking 
the divine embrace.  You know in your experience that Father 
always loves each of you regardless of your abilities and your 
frailties and faults.  Ever and always will the presence of God 
be resident in you, anchored firmly, eternally.  To better 
recognize, to more fully experience this divine presence, 
“giving out” rather than “giving up” will increase your 
experience of God’s presence, for it is the passion of the 
Father to extend, to reach ever farther into this vast universe 
and touch the heart of another creature, His beloved children.
	Spirit resident within you is blinding in brilliance, so 
much so that you are in some sense safeguarded through your 
human condition, through -- I carefully say -- your physical 
density.  Your material vehicle and mortal mind are governors 
that restrain the bursting forth of the divine light.  As you 
grow in spiritual power and ability, slowly does your mind 
change.  It becomes transparent.  Over time your mind is filled 
increasingly with the luminosity of spirit.  As you care for 
your body you are able to further accommodate the divine energy, 
opening the potential for the flow of not only love to one’s 
fellows but the power of the force of healing, that touch, 
wherein spirit may manifest and bring harmony and restoration.
	It is good for the human heart to give up to God, for it 
places the ego in the seat of humility.  You tell your small 
self to sit aside awhile while the great and holy Father reigns 
supreme within you.  But this very presence is trembling to 
burst forth, to explode out of your being and to embrace all 
else around you, your family, your friends, your work 
associates.
	The spirit of God, when spread forth around the universe, 
becomes like many magnets which all draw toward each other and 
bond into a unity.  Each one of you is a magnetic pole.  This is 
what we call fellowship, the desire of the heart to be bonded in 
love with God and one another.
	There is, in reality, nothing which you may in truth give up 
to God, for God possesses all things.  But you do hold as 
sovereign right the ability to give out God’s presence through 
you, and increasingly as you, as you refine your state of 
enlightenment, your height of awareness, the depth of your 
compassion.  This is an honor to be in such a state, a divine 
conduit, a charging force for your hungry fellows.
	I wish to receive your responses at this time.

	Evelyn:  You started out saying that opportunities to become 
a Mighty Messenger exist here and on only a few neighboring 
planets.  Is that in reference to the rebellion?

*	Elyon:  Yes, it is, for this is the only active location 
wherein a readjustment to the rebellious acts of your fallen 
System Sovereign is occurring.

	Evelyn:  Can you say anything more about Mighty Messengers?  
We could review what The Urantia Book says, but I’m confused 
because I remember they were awarded this title as an honor for 
preventing a rebellion from occurring.  If the rebellion is 
over... I suppose you can always prevent another from happening.  
I’m not clear on what it takes to become a Mighty Messenger.

*	Elyon:  Qualifications for such a status is achievable when, 
as you have stated, an ascending creature is able to put forth 
effort to ward off the spread of iniquity and its efforts to 
degrade the divine will and working in the universe.  However, a 
rebellion, as it is so titled, is thought of as occurring over a 
considerable area such as a system or a grouping of planets.  
Within that arena are many subset episodes wherein the same 
effort at warding off rebellion may occur even long after the 
original rebellious acts have ceased to have bearing.  This is 
the repercussion stage, and likewise you are now in the 
reparation stage where order is flourishing, not simply being 
reestablished.  It is after the ramifications of rebellion; it 
is a time when strength and certainty, of tolerance and 
acceptance, rebuilds favor to divine will and removes the 
dangers of rebellion.  You can, in reestablishing divine order, 
qualify as  a Mighty Messenger.  Just as you can do so by aiding 
in the prevention of rebellion, you do so also aiding in the 
reestablishment of divine harmony and function.
	I hope this helps.

	Evelyn:  It does, yes.  Not that one should aspire to awards 
but rather do those things because they need to be done, but it 
does clarify what the Mighty Messenger title represents.  
Preventing the spread of iniquity, there’s still plenty of 
opportunity for that.

*	Elyon:  As the name implies, you are the messenger of the 
most mighty word ever to be expressed, and of the power of 
divine love and the enlightenment of divine consciousness and 
the submission of the human will to the divine will and 
guidance.  This is the message of such beings.  When it is 
understood deeply within you, you are granted such status and 
assigned to function as a messenger of this divine strength and 
power.

	Evelyn:  Thank you.
	You spoke about the difference between giving up and giving 
out and that our traditions teach that giving up is a sign of 
putting God first, which is not such a bad tradition.  The idea 
was to draw spirit.  You pointed out that spirit is always 
there.  I was thinking that it does draw spirit in the sense 
that, the more you’re available to God, consciously putting 
effort into trying to do God’s will or basically trying to be a 
good person, don’t you draw spirit in the sense that now you are 
more useful to other spirit entities, besides just your 
Indwelling Spirit, but to people like yourself.

*	Elyon:  Yes, you are correct, for it readjusts one’s 
attention from the importance of self to the predominance of 
spirit.  Let me use an example of a dispenser.  If you picture a 
column filled with your common drink, a soft drink, can after 
can stacked upon each other, and at the bottom is where you can 
withdraw one drink.  Consider these cans as your spiritual 
talents and gifts.  In giving up you are turning your possession 
to God, but it is also like placing the can in from the bottom 
and forcing the others higher as you give it over, acknowledging 
that it is God’s first and yours second.  But when you pull a 
can to pass it along to another, then a subsequent one drops 
down and is ready to be removed.  This is the flow that spirit 
seeks, to come into you and to pass through you towards others.  
Both are good, for one act is for the recharging of your soul 
and the other act is for service to your fellows.

	Evelyn:  That’s a great image!

*	Elyon:  To Michael, our trusted brother, father, and 
teacher, we give you our highest honor and respect, our 
dedication and our love.  It is you who penetrated our hearts, 
our minds.  It is you who transformed us, who taught us of the 
richness of conscious adherence to Father’s will.  You are our 
savior, for you took us by the hands and led us into the 
presence of our almighty Father God.  We seek ever to thank you 
and to express our gratitude by helping You reach all your 
children in whatever way we can.  Our will is to try and to 
trust that you are ever seeking more contact with your children, 
and that you will do so in our service with you.
	Give us the strength when our faith falters.  Lift us up 
when we feel fear.  Teach us again that in Your presence, with 
the divine acceptance of Father God, we can transform the lost 
soul into a being of joy, a being of love, one satisfied with 
the knowledge of belonging to the universal family.
